This congregation was organized on May 3, 1940 with Rev. Olaf Anderson presiding. Land was purchased on the north side of town, for the church site by the 25 charter families. The first services and Sunday School were held in the AOUW Hall. On November 11, 1941, the cornerstone was laid for a new church which was to cost $6,000. St. Paul Lutheran was organized in a log cabin on May 16, 1910 under the direction of Rev. A. G. Lunde, a circuit rider from Great Falls. There were 45 members. Services were held in homes and schools for the next five years, and the church was started on November 14, 1915. Services were initially conducted in Norwegian.
